It was a nice day today, a little choppy sea but clear skies and not much wind

Yes, it was a nice day and the highlight was when we hooked up a kingfish on a live yellowtail under a balloon. Mandy was working the fish circling the boat two or three times.  And have a look at Dave holding on, he didn’t want to see her in the drink! Damien the deckie had a good look and estimated that the fish was around 10 kilos.

But bad luck Mandy, after about 10 minutes the 30 kg trace line split and we lost the battle! Other than that the catch rate was our average with about four fish per person, i.e. a mixed box with snapper, tarwhine, nannygai, leather jacket and mackerel.
