Soft plastic worked better than fresh pilchards today! With pike in good numbers and size coming onboard.
After the early three weekends in July called off due to gale warnings and massive seas, we finally had two nice days on the 26th and 27th July. And we don’t know if it is global warming but the days are unseasonably warm with 22 to 25C all of this week. How about that for middle of winter?
The Saturday and Sunday fishing was good, as you can see, with a box of mixed reef fish. It was particularly interesting to hook up good size ‘ocean whiting’, i.e. pike, on soft plastic.
