Thank you team, we had a very nice day offshore today with good sea conditions
Unfortunately our offshore trolling sessions didn’t deliver the tuna or salmon we were targeting. But the Werrong reef made up for it with some nice fish coming in. One of our favourite is pig fish! They are excellent eating quality. And Craig was lucky to catch three of them.
The Pig fish pinkish-red fish is easy to identify with a number of darker stripes running the full length of the body. The male form has a very distinctive black blotch on the dorsal fin which is a pinkish colour and extends to the tail fin. It has a moderately large mouth and thick lips. Like a little pig 😉
