The mah mahi season is still running…

…and with a good catch on Friday 20^th March. With a forecast of a southerly change coming in around mid-day we started the early at 5:30 and headed straight out to the Port Hacking FAD. But due to the weather forecast we had to come back a little early, hooking up a skipjack tuna on the way and a bonito close to Port Hacking river.

Dolphin fish are also known as mahi mahi in the US and dorado in south America. They are the fastest growing fish in the sea, increasing in size by up to 1cm a day. We like them because of four particular qualities,
