The weather and sea conditions are perfect! Hey, go fishing now!
It is just amazing, it’s May 24, 2014 and we still have summer conditions and slight seas with a high-pressure system not moving. For the last four weeks we have had up to 26C and clear skies every day. Today it was the same with 23.6 C water temperature at Fisheries FAD off Cronulla, 12 NM East.
Fishing today was good with lots of mahi mahi at the FAD and no other boat there on a Saturday! What are you doing guys? We kept seven good ones and threw back probably twenty under 60 cm. And we also kept two big skipjack.
This is the end of the dolly season, which has been very good. It will close down soon and then we’ll chase kingies, salmon and snapper on the offshore reefs during the cooler months.
Coming home, to top off the day we had some great sighting of humpback whales continually breaching in 25 meters off Oak Park in Bate Bay off Cronulla. Beautiful sights!
I think you can see in the picture that Marcel’s team with Matt, Mitch, Nick, Tony and Chuck enjoyed the day.
