We are at the end of the mahi mahi season but we found them out at Fisheries FAD off Port Hacking.
It was one of those days when it was difficult to predict the outcome with sea temperature dropping, threatening skies with showers. The FAD is 12 nautical miles from the coast and we found 21 degrees C with a very slight current running south.
With a mix of pilchards and small live mackerel the guys did well with half a dozen small dolphin fish returned but 7 keepers, all good size around 65 centimetres.
