Charter fishing Sydney and Cronulla

Well done Earle, that is a very nice pigfish!

As you can see, pigfish is pinkish-red fish with a number of darker stripes running the full length of the body. It has a moderately large mouth and thick lips. Earle caught this one on a green prawn at one of our spots near the cliffs of Kurnell on a reef in about 25 metres.
This fish is top quality eating and expensive down at the fish market, if you can find them. They can be prepared and cooked as you would with snapper and bream or other white flesh fish.
