Winter fishing and boxes of fish

Winter fishing at its best!

Yes, we had a very nice winter day at sea. No winds, calm sea, clear sky and about 19 degrees Celsius. And I know, it’s like a summer day in many other parts of the world.

The team did very well with a couple of boxes of mixed reef fish and a mac tuna on the trolling run home. The catch included mackerel, snapper, blue morwong, good size red rock cod, maori wrasse, a flathead and a rock ling, yellow tail, sweep, and a couple of crimson wrasse.

As you may know, the northern whale migration is well under way and we had some sighting in the distance as well as a pod of dolphins.
