A day at Fisheries FAD off Port Hacking

The day started with a choppy sea and we were not sure if it would be a good day out wide near the continental shelf. So we headed out to our nearest FAD and found the fish, i.e. yellowtail king fish and dolphin fish. Unfortunately they were all under the legal size.
So we decided to have our hot dogs for breakfast and to head out to Fisheries FAD which is about 12 nautical miles offshore. And the sea conditions improved and it was quite pleasant out there. The guys did well with the spinning gear techniques and brought in a few keepers at around 64 cm while throwing back 20 to 30 dollies and kingies.
