shark, mako, cronulla

Good sea conditions today, nobody sea sick and the guys ended up with box of mixed fish.

Yes, it was a nice day with kind sea conditions. We were targeting offshore sport fish like king fish, salmon and tuna. Yes, we found lots of small kingfish off the bommie at the Royal National Park and our secret offshore FAD. Unfortunately the fish were all under the 65 cm and we are obviously complying with the rules and released them.
As we were trolling our downrigger about five nautical miles offshore we hit a nice fish. It turned out to be a mako shark. We normally catch them on live bait but this one liked the deep diver, a little unusual and a first for us.
And as we were finishing the day with reef fishing off Cronulla, Paul hooked up a nice gummy shark that will feed his family and friends this weekend.
